Biography
Bob von Wolffradt has been Chief Information Officer for the State of Wyoming since March 2007. Bob provides strategic leadership and technology direction for the State, responsible for direct oversight of the central technology division.Prior to his CIO role, Bob was Director of Information Services for Snohomish County, Washington. He developed strategic plans and tactical operations to support the technology needs of the county, securing three Top Ten Digital Counties awards in the process. During his tenure, Bob was responsible for designing and deploying technology for a new $170 million government campus, consisting of three facilities: a data center, corrections facility, and an administrative building.
Bob was Executive Director of the Washington School Information Processing Cooperative (WSIPC), which provides Washington State schools with student records, human resources, financial information systems and network services.
Bob has extensive experience with federal, state, and local governments and private industry. He served more than 20 years in the US Air Force. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, and his Master’s Degree in Computer Resources and Information Management from Webster University, St. Louis, Missouri. Bob has also taught for the University of Maryland and Central Texas College.
