Operating Committees: Four operating committees and issue committees exist to support the business goals of the Association.
Programs Committee: The purpose of the Programs Committee is to work under the direction of the Executive Committee to oversee all aspects of the development of the program portion of Association meetings. The Programs Committee is comprised of State Members, Associate Members and Corporate Members appointed by the President and confirmed by the Executive Committee. The chairperson of the Programs Committee is the Vice President.
Awards Committee: The purpose of the committee is to determine on-going policies and procedures associated with the NASCIO awards program and make recommended changes to the Executive Committee. It will also call for and receive nominations for the program, carefully consider them and make recommendations to the Executive Committee for award recipients. The Awards Committee is comprised of State, Associate and Corporate Members. The chairperson of the Awards Committee is appointed by the President.
Corporate Leadership Council (CLC): The purpose of the CLC is to represent the Association's Corporate Membership. The CLC's goal is to increase communication among the corporate members and to utilize private sector intellectual and financial resources to serve NASCIO and its members. CLC members promote information sharing among public and private-sector members, recruiting topical expertise to NASCIO issue focus areas and developing topical publications and projects. The CLC Chair holds a non-voting advisory seat on NASCIO's Executive Committee. CLC participants must be corporate members in good standing.
Nominations Committee: Chaired by the Immediate Past President and composed of six State Members, the purpose of the Nominations Committee is to present qualified nominees for each Officer and director position for election at the Annual Business Meeting of the state members. Issues Committees and Ad Hoc Workgroups: Each program year, issue committees are chartered by the Executive Committee to address priority issues of the membership. Ad Hoc Work Groups may be authorized a limited scope and duration, with a specific charge directed at a topical issue.
