COMMITTEES   |   Innovative Funding for State IT Work Group

About the Work Group

Purpose: The NASCIO Executive Committee has charged the Innovative Funding Work Group to address issues related to successful innovative funding models that enable states to deliver savings, and improve services to citizens.

Goals and Objectives: The goal of the Innovative Funding Working Group is to provide members of NASCIO with information and tools for the facilitation of innovative funding efforts. Objectives include:

1. Updating NASCIO’s 2003 report on innovative funding, “Innovative Funding for Innovative State IT: New Trends and Approaches for State IT Funding.”
2. Conducting interviews with former state respondents to NASCIO’s 2003 Corporate Leadership Council (CLC) survey that examined the states’ use of innovative funding models for technology projects.
