Note: Please review the Revised Corporate Member Guidelines for information on membership and conference attendence. What is NASCIO?
NASCIO, the National Association of State Chief Information Officers, represents state chief information officers and information technology executives and managers from the states, territories, and the District of Columbia. NASCIO's mission is to foster government excellence through quality business practices, information management, and technology policy. The primary state members are senior officials from state government who have executive-level and statewide responsibility for information technology leadership. State officials who are involved in agency level information technology management may participate as associate members. Representatives from federal, municipal, international government and non-profit organizations may also participate as members. Private-sector firms join as corporate members and participate in the Corporate Leadership Council.
What is the corporate member program?
Corporate membership is available for organizations associated with the information technology industry. NASCIO encourages full involvement and input in the association’s activities by its corporate members and emphasizes building relationships with business partners. The membership fee for corporations is $7,500. Academic and other non-profit organizations may join at the reduced fee of $500.
What benefits do corporate members receive?
NASCIO corporate members receive the same benefits as government members,
including complimentary copies of association publications, research reports,
and multi-media kits produced by the association and issue focus reports. Members are also listed on the corporate member profile page, receive access to on-line services; reduced registration fees at the midyear and annual conferences; and eligibility to serve on most NASCIO committees as well as the Corporate Leadership Council. Corporate members are also recognized on our website and are granted access to the NASCIO Members Only website, featuring the association's Online Membership Directory, and other special features. In addition,
corporate members are eligible to attend and sponsor both of NASCIO's
two yearly conferences.
How do corporate members participate in conferences?
NASCIO conferences do not have trade shows or provide demonstration space
for corporations. However, the conferences provide a unique opportunity
for corporate members to network with their state government business
partners and to discuss the issues facing the information technology field
in the public and private sector. All agendas and speakers for conferences
are selected by the Programs Committee based on the theme for each conference.
Sponsors receive
several direct benefits based on the level of sponsorship including complimentary
registrations, inclusion on our website, access to our conference mailing
list, and ample publicity at the conference site. Click
here to review our sponsorship brochure outlining the benefits in detail!
You must be a NASCIO member in order to sponsor NASCIO events.
How does my company join?
To join, please fill out the NASCIO membership application on-line or mail or fax the brochure to the NASCIO
office along with your payment. Dues payment must be received by the NASCIO
office in order to be recognized as a member. Dues are billed annually
in January. All memberships are held in the name of the company. However,
corporate members are asked to designate one national-level manager as
the primary contact for the company. Additional employees of the company
may receive newsletters and conference announcements as well as discounted
registration fees at the conferences.
