NASCIO Members Honored as ComputerWorld Premier 100 IT Leaders
(Lexington, KY) – The National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO), is pleased to announce that Brenda Decker, CIO, state of Nebraska and Teri Takai, Director and CIO, state of Michigan were among those honored as Premier 100 IT Leaders in 2008 by ComputerWorld. Decker and Takai currently serve on NASCIO’s Executive Committee.
ComputerWorld’s annual awards program, Premier 100 IT Leaders, recognizes professionals with innovative approaches and effective strategies in the IT world. Premier 100 IT Leaders are simplifying vendor relations, consolidating systems and streamlining IT infrastructure to transform their businesses. This recognition is well deserved by both Decker and Takai.

NASCIO is the premier network and resource for state CIOs and an effective advocate for technology policies at all levels of government. State members are senior officials from any of the three branches of state government who have executive-level and statewide responsibility for information resource management. Representatives from federal, municipal, and international governments and other state officials participate in the organization as associate members.
