Thomas M. Jarrett Cybersecurity Scholarship Nomination Information

Thomas M. Jarrett PictureThe Thomas M. Jarrett Cybersecurity Conference Scholarship Program grants Chief Information Security Officers (CISO) the opportunity to attend a NASCIO Annual Conference. This scholarship program pays homage to Thomas M. Jarrett, past president of NASCIO (2004 - 2005) with a passion for cybersecurity.

Recipients of the 2018 scholarships will be recognized during an awards ceremony at the NASCIO Annual Conference this October in San Diego.

Nominations must be received by Friday, July 12.

  • Prior recipients are eligible, but will not be considered in consecutive years.  
  • Up to three nominees will be selected.
  • The state must be in good standing as a NASCIO member.

State CIOs must nominate for this scholarship. The application will include examples of the CISOs leadership in cybersecurity and why the CISO would benefit from the conference

The nominee must have a strong passion for and demonstrate leadership in cybersecurity in his/her state.

A sub-committee of the Executive Committee will review the applications and recommend selections based on the strongest entries. Final selections must be approved by the full Executive Committee.
