Mission to Move

Don't miss the opportunity to give back to the Washington, D.C. community and have some fun as well.

Our Give Back prgram this spring will benefit Byte Back in Washington, D.C. The mission of Byte Back is to improve economic opportunity for low-income residents of the Washington, D.C. area by providing computer training and employment readiness skills.

“In the very nation that created the Internet, 40% of residents in some of our city’s neighborhoods still have no Internet access. Byte Back’s goal is to level the playing field and bridge the digital divide. In addition to teaching new skills, our instructors, tutors, and mentors support students by sharing their love of learning and encouraging students to believe in themselves and in new possibilities.

We’re honored that NASCIO selected us. We depend on the support of our community, and we are so pleased to have IT professionals raising funds for our cause.”

Kelley Ellsworth, Director, Byte Back

“Let’s get moving!  Please join me during the NASCIO Midyear Conference for a great event that benefits a terrific charity in the DC area.  Tuesday, April 30, 2013, meet me at the reflecting pool at the Washington Monument at 7:00 am.  We are on a “Mission to Move” which will be a walk on the historic Washington Mall that will benefit the Byte Back charity.  Byte Back provides computer training to the underserved in the DC area.  So, gather together a team, invite a buddy, or just show up in your sneakers and walk with me for a good cause!”
