What is Baltimore Digital Harbor High School?
Digital Harbor is an innovative, technology-focused high school located in historic Federal Hill overlooking the Baltimore harbor. A school of choice, students are chosen by lottery from communities across Baltimore. The mission of Digital Harbor is to prepare students for college, careers in technology, and responsible citizenship. Visit the school's website for more information: DigitalHarbor.org.
How do students engage in technology?
Every ninth grader explores four pathways to help make a decision on further courses of study in grades 10, 11 and 12. Students who earn six credits in a pathway are awarded a Maryland State Department of Education Completer Certificate. They are also eligible to take industry level certification tests. The certification test costs are not covered by the school. Each student must pay for his or her testing, which is often difficult.
