Calling all state chief privacy officers – its time once again for the NASCIO State CPO Leadership Summit – your opportunity to share ideas, learn about new programs and innovations, ask questions of and network with your CPO peers. NASCIO is excited to take the State CPO Leadership Summit to Tampa, Florida, on July 29-31, 2025


QUICK FACTS

  • The State CPO Leadership Summit is open to CPOs only – no proxies are permitted if the CPO is unable to attend
  • The only attendees will be state CPOs and NASCIO staff – no private sector, other government officials or media
  • The event will be held in conjunction with the 2025 State CIO, CISO, CDO and Deputies Leadership Summits, as well as the Emerging Leaders meeting, allowing for some great networking opportunities with other state leaders
  • Deadline to register for this event is Thursday, July 10


CURRICULUM AND PRESENTERS

The State CPO Leadership Summit’s agenda is created by you. Discussion topics will come from CPO attendees as will facilitation. This is your time to share with each other ideas on topics that are most important to you.

HOTEL

The 2025 State CPO Leadership Summit will be held at the Westin Tampa Waterside. NASCIO will book your room for arrival on July 29 and departure on July 31 – if you require a different arrival/departure, please contact Lisa Thompson.


TRAVEL

NASCIO will provide a $600 travel stipend to all attendees. Attendees should book and pay for their travel and will be provided instructions after the event on how to submit receipts for the reimbursement.

The Tampa International Airport (TPA) is the closest and most convenient airport to the hotel.

For travel planning, the welcome reception will start at 6 pm EST on Tuesday, July 29 and the Summit will wrap-up at 1:30 pm on Thursday, July 31.
