Bo Reese is the Oklahoma Chief Information Officer as appointed by Governor Mary Fallin. As Oklahoma’s CIO, Bo oversees the unification of all executive state agency information technology infrastructure and services pursuant to the Technology Consolidation and Coordination Act and leads more than 800 information technology (IT) and other professionals.
Bo has held multiple technology and management positions during his two decades in state government. He began his career at Oklahoma’s self-funded health plan, HealthChoice, as an Applications Specialist before rising to the Director of Information Technology, then to CIO where he led the development and implementation of all technology applications and infrastructure. Bo later became Deputy Administrator where he was responsible for several divisions including Health Care Management, Information Technology, Member Services, Provider Relations and Third Party Administration (TPA) Management Division.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in university studies with an emphasis in computer science from Oklahoma State University and an associate degree in computer science from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. Reese, an avid hunter and technology enthusiast, lives in Edmond, Okla., with his wife, Lori, and their two children.
