As highlighted in our name, our main purpose is to represent, champion and support chief information officers (CIOs) of the U.S. states, territories and the District of Columbia.
We know it takes a full team to move state technology forward, and our work extends beyond a single role. We proudly welcome a wide range of executive branch technology leaders, including:

Supporting state technology extends past government and into the private sector. Our membership includes companies that provide expertise, services and products that support the work of the state CIO organization.
The technology community is large, and membership also includes nonprofit organizations, academic and research institutions, and government entities at all levels.
Our goal in convening this broad group is to create a supportive, collaborative network committed to advancing public-sector technology together.
