Emerging Leaders Program

developing public sector technology leadership

The NASCIO Emerging Leaders Program is a year-long experience designed for state professionals interested in growing into future leadership roles in government technology. The program begins with an immersive, in-person leadership course and continues with curated virtual learning sessions throughout the year.

Each state CIO may nominate one individual annually—selecting someone who demonstrates strong potential and a commitment to public service innovation.

To deepen connections and broaden visibility among state IT leadership, Emerging Leaders participate alongside CIOs, CISOs, State Chief Data Officers, State Chief Privacy Officers and Deputy leaders during NASCIO’s Leadership Summits. This offers exceptional networking opportunities and direct engagement with top-level decision-makers.
