Engagement Opportunities

Grow your skills, build connections and help shape the state technology community.

Join working groups and webcasts

Join open, conversational calls with peers across the country about important technology issues.

You’ll gain fresh perspectives, practical insights and a stronger understanding of national trends and challenges.

Participate in operational committees

Step into a hands-on leadership role by serving on a committee.

  • Awards Committee
Members provide guidance on the framework of the State IT Recognition Awards and serve as judges for the program. This committee is most active May – July and a call for volunteers is held each spring.

It’s a great way to connect with fellow members, learn firsthand about innovative state technology projects and play a key role in spotlighting outstanding work happening across the country.
  • Programs Committee
Members provide guidance on the content (keynotes, session topics and speakers, networking activities and experiential components) of NASCIO’s two flagship conferences.

You’ll gain insight into the conference design process and help influence the content to support member needs. This group is capped at ~25 members (split between state and corporate); there is a call for volunteers each December.
