Executive Summary
MiProData is a modern, multi-agency procurement platform that replaced Michigan’s outdated Access database and now supports all state procurement areas with automation, data visibility, and machine learning. In Michigan, many systems begin with Mi, here it is pronounced ‘my-pro-data’. Built on configurable architecture, it adapts to each agency’s unique workflows while operating on shared infrastructure, making it suitable not only for Michigan but also for other states. The platform automates key processes, including the State Administrative Board workflow, contract monitoring across more than 1,200 contracts, and signature collection, while providing robust analytics through 15+ Power BI dashboards. A machine learning model trained on over 10,000 historical projects now predicts project durations with up to 93% accuracy for amendments.
MiProData’s statewide rollout began in 2025 following successful deployment within the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB) Central Procurement Services (CPS). Supported by strong change management, multi-agency collaboration, and integration with four enterprise systems, the system continues to expand with new modules for vendor performance and award protests.
The impact has been substantial. More than $336,000 in annual administrative savings, over 18,600 automated compliance communications driving an 83% monitoring rate, reduced approval cycle times, and improved customer satisfaction based on nearly 4,000 survey responses. Today, MiProData serves 143 users across nine agencies, manages over 2,500 contracts, and provides the scalable foundation for continued enterprise growth and potential adoption by other states.
