NASCIO Honors Nevada Leaders with Technology Champion Award

Tuesday, April 28, Philadelphia, PA – The National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) today announced that Suzie Pollard, Administrator and Chief Information Officer, Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles, and Molly Lennon, Administrator, Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), have been named recipients of the 2026 NASCIO Technology Champion Award. The award was given at NASCIO’s 2026 Midyear Conference in Philadelphia.

The award honors individuals whose leadership has shaped how technology is positioned, supported and applied within the public sector. Together, Lennon and Pollard have led a sustained transformation of DMV services in Nevada – shifting from legacy, in-person processes to a modern, digital-first operating model focused on adoption, scalability and measurable outcomes.

Their partnership has been instrumental in advancing the Nevada DMV Transformation Effort, with a focus on improving customer experience while maintaining strong standards for security, accessibility and operational performance. The impact of their work is reflected in the rapid adoption of new digital services. Following statewide expansion, the Nevada DMV reported a massive increase in online services, saving time for residents and allowing staff to focus on customers who require in-office support.

The modernization effort continues to expand online eligibility across additional transaction types, signaling a sustained transformation rather than a one-time implementation. The program also incorporates security testing, identity proofing and accessibility as foundational elements—supporting both public trust and long-term scalability.
