State CIO offices, along with the rest of the world, have seen a dramatic change in the past 5 years. What will the future role of the CIO office look like? CIOs will likely continue to drive strategic direction and implement increased digital services, but the impact of potential disruptions like outsourcing and workforce gaps will remain.
